47th European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) Annual Meeting

The 47th Annual Meeting of the EASD will take place between 12 and 16 September 2011 at Feira Internacional de Lisboa from Lisbon, Portugal. Feira Internacional de Lisboa (FIL) is the largest and most modern exhibition centre in Portugal. Lisbon International Exhibition Centre is located in a noble zone of Lisbon where it is possible to arrive fast and easily by car or using the vast network of public transportation available.
Sessions will take place in the pavilions of the International Fair (FIL) and in the adjacent Atlantic Pavilion.
The Meeting will start on Monday 12th September and the Opening Ceremony will take place on the morning of Tuesday, 13th September. The meeting will end at lunchtime on Friday, 16th September with a Closing Ceremony followed by a Farewell Reception.

Lisbon is the birth place of the first world diabetes association - the Portuguese Diabetes Association. Founded in 1926 by Ernesto Roma, today it is a model of diabetes care.

Lisbon offers a wide variety of options to the visitor, including beaches, countryside, mountains and areas of historical interest only a few kilometres away from the city centre.
