Sociedad Mexicana de Medicina de Emergencia (the Mexican Society of Emergency Medicine) and Mexico, a longstanding IFEM member that has trained over 2,500 specialists, are inviting delegates to participate at what is sure to be the event of a generation.
The International Federation of Emergency Medicine is having its first ever event in Latin America at the first IFEM Symposium on Resuscitation, in San Miguel de Allende Mexico, a renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site. The social and cultural programs will be outstanding in the wonderful mountain climate of central Mexico.
Using simultaneous interpretation, at this most excellent location, the world leaders of emergency medicine, including Peter Cameron, Guatam Bodiwala, Judith Tintinalli, Bob Suter, Rick Blum as well as other leaders in resuscititative medicine, will share the latest advances, knowledge, techniques as practiced by the specialty with attendees, including residency program directors/faculty and residents from throughout Mexico and Latin America.
The content areas will include the new ECC/AHA 2010 guidelines, BLS, ACLS, PALS, Trauma, Neuro, Obstetrics, Neonatal reanimation, as well as advances in technology such as Ultrasound and other critical care technologies. There will also be a forward leaning curriculum meeting that will review and develop new strategies for training EM residents in emergency medicine in Mexico and regionally throughput Latin America.
San Miguel is a first class but relatively small venue. There will be limiting the participation to 500 fortunate participants.
