World Congress of Epidemiology

Infectious Diseases Medical Congress
Congress location: Edinburgh, United Kingdom
Date: 07 - 11 August 2011

In 2011 the World Congress of Epidemology will have place between 7-11 of August at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, Scotland.

The Congress theme is reflected in the title: “Changing populations, changing diseases: Epidemiology for Tomorrow’s World.” Within this future-orientated theme, full span of research across the many disciplines contributing to the science and practice of epidemology will be discussed. In addition to grappling with today’s problems across the globe, a forecast will be made on what awaits in the future, in terms of diseases (including uncovering causes); health effects of environmental and demographic change; and theoretical, conceptual and technical developments in epidemiology.

The Congress partners who are hosting the conference include the four academic departments leading epidemiology and public health in Scotland (in the Universities of Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow) and NHS Health Scotland. Congress committees are poised to deliver to you a memorable, low-cost (subsidised) academic and social programme in one of the most spectacular cities in the world.
