The 5th World Congress on Prevention of Diabetes and its Complications

Diabetes Medical Congress Location: Helsinki, Finland Date: 01 - 04 June 2008

The 5th World Congress provides a great opportunity to share the latest scientific data and experiences on the prevention of diabetes and its complications. Regarding prevention, Finland has become known worldwide for its North Karelia Project in the 1970's and 1980's, and for the Diabetes Prevention Study (DPS 2001), the National Diabetes Programme, Dehko (2000–2010) and its unique FIN-D2D Prevention Project at the beginning of this millennium.

The congress will be held at the Helsinki Fair Centre, which was also the venue for the IDF Congress in 1997.
