The 21st ECNP Congress which will be organised from 30 August - 3 September 2008 in Barcelona, Spain.
The scientific programme is the most important part of the ECNP Congress. As a rule it consists of plenary lectures, a limited (28) number of symposia, educational updates, brainstorming sessions and poster sessions. In addition, Breaking News symposia, focussing on the latest developments in preclinical and clinical research in neuropsychopharmacology, will be organised.
The Scientific Programme Committee (SPC) has once again been able to compose a high level, wellbalanced scientific programme in which the latest findings in neuropsychopharmacology and related disciplines in both preclinical and clinical symposia are presented and discussed. The various aspects of pharmacotherapy of brain disorders in order to improve the life of patients with psychiatric and neurological disorders are also covered.

*A reduced fee will be considered for:
- persons studying for a pre-doctoral or doctoral degree
- post-docs employed at universities and scientific institutions within the first 4 years of receiving their PhD
- residents within the first 4 years of receiving their MD
- participants from countries with developing economies (World Bank List – September 2007).
Participants (except participants from countries with developing economies) applying for a reduced fee should provide a copy of their student card or an official letter from the head of their department, university or institution.
